Wedding Video Montage | Ana and Alfredo Luna

This is the wedding video montage of Ana and Alfredo Luna with highlights of their special day on July 13, 2012. I had the opportunity to produce this wedding video. This wedding was specifically special to me because it is the first wedding of the Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Delta Chapter at UC Santa Barbara. Why is this special? Because I am the co-founder of the Gamma Delta Chapter at UCSB and the groom is a co-founder as well. Congrats LB!! I shot the wedding with a Canon Rebel T3i. I edited the wedding video montage in Final Cut Pro, created the motion graphics in Apple Motion, and compressed the video for the web in Apple Compressor.

Looking for a camera to shoot weddings? The Canon Rebel T3i works great because you can shoot in 30/24 fps in 1080 and 60 fps in 720. Click on the image below for a great bundle on the Canon Rebel T3i camera body, bag, 8GB SD card, and lens:

FCP Tutorial - Window Layout

This is a video on how to customize the window layout in Final Cut Pro 6 & 7 for a better visual workflow.

Once the window layout work flow is customized, save it by going to Window, Arrange, Save Window Layout.. (dialogue box pops up) Save As: "Title" Where: "Window Layouts Folder" Format: "Fixed Aspect Layout." Click Save. The reason the editor must save the layout is so that it may be used for future projects.

Below is the link to the music video I shot & edited.

UFO Sighting

UFO Sighting Downtown Los Angeles 6/23/2012

This video was captured during a shoot of an EPK for the rap group "Kingz of Tomaro" on a rooftop on skid row in Downtown, Los Angeles. Towards the end of the shoot, one of the rap groups members, Zone, pointed out cosmos in the sky. Everyone present thought he was joking, because they weren't unable to notice the objects in the bright blue sky. Once I was able to focus my eyes on the bright blue sky, I began to notice the objects in the video. I did not want to move my eyes away from the objects because it was easy to lose sight of the objects. I must point out that I was unable to find the objects on my LCD or my viewfinder. In order to capture the objects in the moment, I had to put my camera next to my face, point towards the objects, and continue to focus the lens. I captured the video with the Canon Rebel T3i and the 18-135MM lens. I accomplished it and the video above was the result.
